Cheyleia Pilialohamakamaeokauapoaihale Gomes, 11, of Kahalu'u peacefully danced and tik tok'd her way into Heaven on February 9, 2022. She was born on December 11, 2010 to Kaipo Gomes and Rhianna Ramos. The first of the Gomes Children she was a playful, loving, funny and kolohe child who could light up a room no matter where she went. She was a student at Ahuimanu Elementary School and had many friends there. She loved playing, making tik tok's and eating candy or anything that she could eat. "Chey Chey" as she was affectionately called was diagnosed with DIPG in August of 2020, from that point on her ohana and friends rallied around her to help fundraise and support Chey and her Ohana. Cheyleia went to New York for her first trial and then came home and went back again for her second round. Throughout all of her ordeals and pain, she remained a true WARRIOR and HAMMAH!!! She wouldnt let on just how much pain she was in or how much she was suffering, she remained that happy, loving child that everyone fell in love with. Cheyleia was so thankful for the outpouring of love and support that everyone gave her and always gave someone a wave or a smile whenever they would come by to see her. She loved her family very much and always wanted them around her. She definitely will never be forgotten and will forever be missed. She is survived by her parents: Kaipo and Rhianna; her siblings: Puahi, Po'okela, Kaileia, Melee, Kaipo Jr., Kuntry, Kainalu: Maternal Grandmother: Kimberly Thompson; Paternal Grandparents: Mel and Cheyenne Gomes; her God Parents: Cameron and Shanted Rivera and many many aunties, uncles, and cousins. Services are open to the public but Masks need to be worn at all times due to COVID 19.
