Lilia Fuerte Togle
July 18, 1932 - February 24, 2022
Lilia Fuerte Togle was born on July 18, 1932 in San Julian Norte, Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Lily, as she was known to many, was the eldest of nine children of Juanita and Vicente Fuerte. A loving daughter and sister, Lily helped her parents and siblings immigrate to Hawaii. She received her high school diploma from Rosary High School and College in the Philippines. Lily married Vincent Togle on November 25, 1961 in the Philippines. She and eldest daughter, Josie joined Vincent in Honolulu, Hawaii in February, 1965 where he was already residing. They had 2 more children, Lorna and Annibelle. Lily loved working at Yacht Harbor Towers where she had wonderful coworkers and tenants whom she called her friends. She diligently worked there for 36 years as a supervisor for Housekeeping Services before reluctantly retiring at the age of 77. She dedicated 57 years of generous and faithful support to Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa Catholic Church of the Child Jesus. She was also a member of Santo Domingo Association. She loved to throw parties and gatherings and be surrounded by her family and friends. Lilia’s passion was cooking and gardening, but her greatest love was the Lord and her family. She adored all her grandchildren: Noah and Jonah McNear, Kiana and Jude Garcia and Angelina Togle-Wilson. Lily, a loving daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma, cousin, auntie and friend will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
