Aloha, I posted yesterday, but it's not here Mrs. Buted sewed for my grandmother, Mrs. Flateau for many many years. In fact, she sewed several items for me and they were beautifully made. I went to her home on Kamehameha !V Rd many times. She was a very kind person. Aloha to all.
Our deepest sympathy to the family of Ms. Buted. I just happened across her obit while looking for another. What a strange coincidence. I remember this wonderful lady and precision seamstress from the late 70s...she custom-made costumes for us, never requiring a pattern and always turning out professional theatrical garments of the highest quality. She would always giggle when we came to her with our wacky ideas and though always busy with weddings and proms, her specialty, she still made time to squeeze us in. She was a very talented and gracious lady.
Mrs. Buted sewed for my grandmother, Elzabeth Flateau, for many years. I think she also sewed for my aunties, too. She sewed several items that were for me, and altered clothes for us. It's funny that my grandmother was so much older but always called her Mrs.Buted. My grandmother has been gone for 15 years. She had a deep respect for Mrs. Buted, and so do we all.
