Gervacia "Basing" Respicio Buted's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Gervacia “Basing” Respicio Buted, 95, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 peacefully at home. She was born to Simplicio Respicio and Restituta Placido in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on June 15, 1920. She was a seamstress.
She is survived by sons, Melvin (Christine) Buted and Rolando (Kerri) Buted; daughters, Virginia (Gregory) Shepherd and Mavis (Kurt Lain) Ramos; 12 grandchildren, Danice (Justin) Smith, Alyssa (Wayne) Hudson, Leah Buted, Shayna (Ryan) Bluebaugh, Bethany (Scott) Thompson, Joshua Buted, Micaiah Buted, Kamyla Buted, Dezarae (Daniel) Miyahira, Jeremy Ramos, Sela Buted and Spencer Buted; eight great-grandchildren, Sarah Anaya Smith, Aaron Ezekiel Smith, David Josiah Smith, Tobias Miyahira, Giana Miyahira, Oliver Owens, Henry Buted, and Elliott Bluebaugh.
Celebration of Life and funeral Services for “Basing” will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Church (located at 2324 Omilo Lane Honolulu, Hawaii 96819); visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.; eulogy at 10:30 a.m., Mass at 11:30 a.m., with a burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
