Agapita Ladao's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Agapita "Sally" Ladao, who passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 25, 2014. She was born on March 25, 1926 in Kahuku, Hawaii to Isidro Maghanoy and Juliana Tingcang. She was raised in Kahuku and attended Kahuku High School. Upon graduation, she began her career as a nurse. She retired in the 70’s as a Kaiser Permanente laboratory technician. She was married to Alfonso Ladao.
She was an Alakahi instructor and Lauhala Kumu (instructor) who participated in the Merrie Monarch. Being involved in Lauhala Clubs and participating in the Merrie Monarch were very important events in her life. Lauhala making was a very favorite hobby of hers.
She is survived by her daughters, Allysia Arreola, Cherlyn (Jack) Ramsay, Anita (Ted) Ventula, Faye Blake and Louwin Jacobs; son, Gordon (Denise) Ladao; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Sonny Maghanoy.
Visitation to her funeral service will be from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon, Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service to begin at 12:00 noon; burial service to follow 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
