Agnes Remoaldo Carey's Obituary
Agnes Remoaldo Carey
August 4, 2014
Agnes passed away peacefully after 93 ½ years.
She was born in Kilauea, Kauai and lived in Kailua, O`ahu for more than 60 years. She is survived by sons Charles “Jeff” (wife Cheryl), Robert “Bob” (wife Susan), Michael (Susan) and Paul “Jon” (Kelley), and daughter, Lynn (husband Bob Grossman); sister Josephine Silva; 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved brother David and sister Helen Data.
Private services to be followed by a memorial gathering at her home TBA and on Kaua`i in October 2014.
She was well cared for by her children on O`ahu. Jeff and Bob both had the chance to visit from Washington and spend time with her several times during the past few years.
She was sharp and could do accounting and puzzles almost until the end. She had fond memories of her childhood, siblings, cousins and classmates on Kauai. She had interesting experiences and supportive co-workers at the Hawaii State Hospital and Diamond Head Mental Health Center. She enjoyed helping her neighbors and most of all -- gardening. She so loved the beauty and peacefulness of Kailua, its weather, and being surrounded by the verdant mountains and buffering ocean.

From the sunrise at Kumukahi to the
fading sunlight at Lehua.
From birth to death.
