My friend Alan, I'll miss riding my bike over to your house, our conversations filed with laughter, cocktails at sunset and dancing music at our feet. Alan was a consummate professional. He breathed life into the Hawaii National Guard and touched the hearts of many. As a Chief and additional duty First Sergeant, he knew how to "get things done"! I will miss his laughter and fun-loving spirit. We worked together at the HING Joint Forces Headquarters and had many spirited discussions. Alan was a colleague, an American Airman and more importantly...my friend. Rest in peace Alan. Blessings and prayers to the Bergeson family.
