Alan Darrel Villanueva Ching's Obituary
Alan Darrel Villaneuva Ching was born on February 28, 1948 in Hilo on the Big Island. He was the twelfth child of thirteen to Charles and Berhamina Villanueva. He attend Nanaikapono Elementary and Intermediate School. He also went to Waianae High school but he later transferred to and graduated from Farrington High School in 1966. Upon graduating he enlisted in the Air Force. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1970, after serving a tour in Vietnam as a Security Policeman. He was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal for his service in Vietnam.
After serving the military he attended Leeward Community College where he studied Real Estate, Loans, and Mortgages. He later worked at Hickam Civil Engineering Squadron for 24 years were he retired as a Construction Inspector.
He resided in Pearl City with the love of his life, Gloria. They finally got married in March 2012, after being together for 29 years. They attended church together every Saturday at Our Lady of Good Counsel.
On there spare time Alan and Gloria would travel to anywhere and everywhere they could. As long as Gloria was there by his side enjoying their adventures together. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
