Alan Akira Shinagawa's Obituary
In the gentle breezes of Honolulu, Hawaii, we bid farewell to Alan Shinagawa—a man whose life was a symphony of love, laughter, and cherished moments. Born on April 3, 1959, Alan’s journey was marked by simplicity, family bonds, and the joy of shared experiences.
As a bowler, Alan found solace in the rhythm of rolling balls down polished lanes. But his true passion lay in the embrace of family. He was an all-around family man, weaving threads of connection that spanned generations. His laughter echoed through cozy living rooms, and his love flowed like a gentle stream.
Alan reveled in life’s simple pleasures—the warmth of morning sun, the taste of homemade meals, and the comfort of family gathered around. He was a beaker of love, mixing kindness, compassion, and understanding into a potion that healed hearts.
Survived by his devoted wife, Ginalyn, Alan’s legacy extends to his children: Shannon, Megan, and Kalen (alongside Troy). Their lives are woven with memories of bedtime stories, shared secrets, and the safety of his embrace. And in the laughter of his siblings—Lynn (with her husband, Desmond) and Riky—Alan’s spirit dances on.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to raise a glass of lemonade in Alan’s honor. Let us celebrate the man who taught us that love is the simplest and most profound gift we can give
