Albert Kiyoshi Murabayashi's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Albert Kiyoshi Murabayashi, 77, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, who passed away on July 29, 2018. He was born to Junichi and Kaneko Murabayashi on December 22, 1940; he was the fifth out of six children.
Albert attended James B. Castle High School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. After graduation, he began a career as an electronics mechanic at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, where he worked for 43 years.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966 and was Honorably discharged on July 17, 1968.
He married Ofelia Santos on November 16, 1985; although she preceded him in death.
Albert was known to say, “Loko,” “You stay beautiful okay?” and “I want dessert.” He was described to be humorous, loving, kind-hearted and that his most important event in his life was having his daughter, Krickette; he also enjoyed watching his grandkids. His favorite song was “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley.
Special people who have influenced Albert’s life were Mary & Alfred, who introduced him to his wife, Ofelia and Junichi Murabayashi, who he looked up to as his Dad.
Albert is survived by his daughters, Krickette (Mark) Pacubas, Jesusa (Henry) Salenga; sons, Arnel (Perlita) Santos, Arnold Santos, Jose Santos; granddaughters, Alyana Santos, Andrea Santos, Eryka “Brianna” Salena; grandsons, Michael Santos, Justin Santos, Sean Santos, Christopher Santos and Sam Santos.
Celebration of Albert’s life will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Monday, August 27, 2018; visitation from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m., family eulogy/remembrances to begin at 11:00 a.m., funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Committal service is scheduled on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
