Celebrating the Life of Alec “Alika” Keanoano Kaaihue, age 56, of Waimanalo, Hawaii. Passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013. Alec was born on July 4, 1957 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Henry Lua Kaaihue and Maribelle Kalamakuokalani Giffard. He was the 3rd of 6 children. He attended Waimanalo Elementary & Intermediate Schools and Job Corps (Kokohead). He lived in Waianae and Downtown Honolulu. He served in the United States Army Service from 1977-1980. His most important events in his life were his family and having family gatherings. Some of his special friends were Veronica and Joachin Kaaihue. Words that best describes him “I got ripped off” and "unconditional Aloha." Alec is survived by his fiancé, Dolly Clarke; brother, Joachin “Joe” Kaaihue; sisters, Mary Ann (Roswald) Kanuha, Bernadette (Joseph) Sambrana and Henrietta Borealis; hanai sons, Stacey, Felipe, Thomas and Jeremiah Kuehu and Kainoa Souza; 12 hanai grandchildren.
His services will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at St. George Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and Mass will begin at 7:00 p.m. Private burial.
