Alfie was born on July 30, 1974, in Laoag City, Philippines, to her loving parents, Jeremias Balais and Dionisia Agcaoili. She carried with her a deep connection to her roots, which remained an important part of her life even after she made her home in Hawaii.
She lived in Honolulu, where she built a life through hard work, dedication, and kindness. Alfie was employed as a salesperson at Macy’s, where she was known by her colleagues and customers for her warm smile, helpful spirit, and genuine care for others. She took pride in her work and formed lasting relationships with those she met each day.
Alfie’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved son, Antony Balais, who was the center of her world and the source of her greatest pride. Her love and devotion as a mother will remain a lasting legacy in his life.
