Alfred James Carvalho Sr.'s Obituary
Alfred James Carvalho Sr., 91, of Kaneohe, Hawaii passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 6, 1924 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Manual Carvalho and Mary Moniz. He was a retired master boat builder and joiner for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Shop 64 and a United States Army Veteran.
He is survived by son, John Carvalho; daughters, Patty Faris, Gloria (Avelino “Al”) Pagaduan, and Gerrie (Stan) Gould; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation to his evening wake service 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service to begin at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation to his funeral service 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church; Mass to begin at 12:45 p.m., with a committal service to follow 2:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
