Alfred Kuehulani Medeiros' Obituary
Alfred Kuehulani “Weenie” Medeiros passed away peacefully in hospice care in Honolulu, Hawaii, on January 16, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was preceded by his parents Alfred Garcia Medeiros and Rachel Lillian Hopoe (Makaena) Oneha, and wife of 58 years, Brenda Karen (Klatt), sister Sandy Valeron, daughters Kimberly Niel and Shannon Medeiros, beloved “Papa” to Kate (Josh) Hall, Kayla, Kiana, and Cole, great “Papa” to Wyatt, cherished Cousin, Uncle, and friend to many, he will be forever in our hearts and memories. “Weenie” was a former USAF Radioman in the Korean War, former Chevron Oil Employee, retired U.S. Postal Carrier, and Pearl Country Club token “Potagee” Cart Guy. In the early 1960’s he was a proud and active Member in the Ewa Beach Jaycees Club as well as one of the founding Members of the Ewa Beach Surf Club Longboarding all the way! Celebration of Life to take place on Thursday, May 14th, 2026 at Valley of the Temples in Kaneohe, Makai Chapel at 10:00am, Service at 10:30am, followed by Reception at 11:30am. Internment on Friday, May 15th, 2026 at 11:00am at the Kaneohe Veterans Cemetery.
