ALICE YUK WUN CHING
Celebrating the life of Alice Yuk Wun Ching, who passed away on February 24, 2016 in Honolulu. She was born on August 4, 1923 in Honolulu to Koon Yee Kau and Rose Hung Tau Choy.
She was educated at and graduated from McKinley High School. After graduation, she was trained in Business and received a diploma from Canon’s Business School. She also graduated from Mun Lun School (Chinese), after eleven years of attendance. She retired as a secretary for the Federal Aviation Agency. Alice was an active member of the See Dai Doo Society and a faithful member of the United Church of Christ-Judd Street.
She is survived by family members, daughter, Karen P. H. Chee; step-son, Byron K. K. Ching; step-daughters, Sharon (Wally) Wong and Coralie (Steve) Kop; brother, Dr. Manuel C. W. Kau and sisters, Jennie Dang and Amelia ( Chester) Lao; step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at the United Church of Christ (467 Judd Street); with visitation to begin at 9:30 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m., and burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
