Hey mom been thinking of you lately miss our talks, laughs and memories we made. Wish you was still here to see and feel your great grand children. They speak of you at times they ask questions as if they’ve met you before. But we instill in them that one day they will see you and give you a big hug. We love and miss you a lot. hi mommy i still think of you! i cant seem to fill the void that you have left in my heart and mind. I struggle most times when i am alone, but i know how much you would want me to go on. Like you had said to me the night before you went to sleep, "this is a bad world, but if you can do good for yourself and someone else, you will do just fine." well I will try to do good for someone else, but i will alway want to do more for you!
i stored all you clothes, your belongings, your shoes, you papers, etc. I plan to bring them out when we gather next year in your memory! Ill never forget you and i will alway think of you! i love you my mommy and i miss you truly!

I am the oldest granddaughter Shelby Ka?ilipelani Lono, the daughter of Kaleo and Nicole. My grandma Nani was the sweetest most precious lady you would ever meet. As you all know my grandmother was one who loved Jehovah God. As long as i can remember she would speak the great word of Jehovah. Always reminding us to put him first. Grandma Nani was one who was always smiling and always happy. Even when she wasn't feeling good she was still staying strong for us. I remember growing up i loved going with her on Thursday nights to my Aunty Wanda's house and Sundays to the kingdom hall. She would take me to all the conventions and meet all the brothers and sister from all over the world. Aside her love for Jehovah my grandma loved her Ohana. Especially her love of her life my papa Wayne. She always made sure he had everything he needed. She made sure his lunch was ready for work and when he got done she had dinner ready for when he got home. I loved going to my grandparent’s house to spend time with them and my cousins. At one point i swear i was practically living there. I loved washing my grandmas bus. We always help her keep it clean and when we got done she would take us go get some hot fudge Sundays and tell us about her students she had to pick up. All of the kids she picked up loved her. Anyone who knew my grandmother loved her. She had such a beautiful heart how could you not love someone so sweet! If you know my grandma you would know that she loved to eat at Helena's. She would go like every other Fridays, and i must say she had good taste in food cause she was one hell of a cook. Me i Love Poi and every time i go to her house she would always tell me she had poi in the kitchen she just mixed. She really knew how to make my day. I’m going to miss everything about my grandma. If you know the Lono Ohana you would know that we are all athletes. Growing up my grandma and my uncle Elliott would always take me to my softball games. My Grandma would go to all her grandchildren's games. It was Kind of hard because she had a lot of Mo'opunas, but she was always there supporting us. As i got older and graduated from Kailua High School in 2010 i got offered a scholarship to play softball in Las Vegas Nevada. So of course i took it. Moving away was one of the hardest things i have ever done. To me it was hard because my father always told us to spend as much time as we can with our grandparents because there not going to be here forever which we did. Saying goodbye to my family was tough but my grandma was always there to remind me that home will always be home and its not going anywhere, She said if i ever wanted to come back just call. So of course i would call and call and call. Not to move home but just to see how she was doing. She would answer and say " Hi Kayla i mean Robi ugh Chasity i so sorry Shelby how are you." lol i can still hear her sweet voice n that laugh. Me and her would go on and on just talking story. As for me my grandma also taught me to love Jehovah god. I would call her just to talk to her about new chapters that i read. We could stay on the phone for hours talking about Jehovah. My grandma was one who was always worried about everybody but herself. Always putting everyone in front of her. She was always there for me when i needed her. A few years back i lost a friend and my grandma was the first one to call me. She cried on the phone telling me she's so sorry. She said a prayer for me asking Jehovah to keep me strong. That was when she read me a scripture in Ecclesiastes 3; 20 "All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust. And they all returning to the dust." which means when our spirits leave our body our souls are at rest. Since my grandma has told me that she made everything so much easier.
Grandma Nani always knew what to say to comfort me. Since She has left us thing has been really hard on my Ohana but i just remind myself that she is finally resting. No more suffering no more sicknesses and most of all no more pain. Mahalo Nui for taking the time to listen to me share how beautiful and wonderful my grandmother was. I love you grandma with all my heart and soul and i will see you again in the new world.
