Allen R Smith Jr.'s Obituary
Allen Rodger Smith Jr. (September 21, 1968 – February 11, 2026) passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with cancer.
He grew up along the Mullica River in Sweetwater, New Jersey, but spent the latter half of his life in Hawaii, which he proudly called home. A talented craftsman, avid gardener, and animal lover, Allen cherished all things beautiful, especially the natural wonders of the islands and his beloved orchids, and fully embraced the spirit of aloha.
Later in life, he found faith and became Catholic at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Waikāne under Father Paulo, whose guidance and friendship brought him comfort and strengthened his walk with God in his final years.
Allen was predeceased by his father, Allen Rodger Smith Sr., and is survived by his mother, Sally Smith; sisters Ruthanne Peterson, Nora Boyer, and Kitty Smith; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered during the 7:00 a.m. February 15, 2026 Sunday Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Waikāne. He will be deeply missed.
