Americo Alexander's Obituary
Americo Vespuci Alexander (Rick) was a gentle soul with a heart as big as the moon. Rick loved his wife Paulette more than anything in this world. He was very close with his sister Anne and his brother Paul. He loved Paulette’s family, and he loved his distant family in North Carolina. While he never left the island of Hawaii, he always asked about relatives in North Carolina.
Rick was a CPA which he enjoyed doing for decades. He enjoyed his Cockatoo’s, for those who know, they’re extremely affectionate and loyal, just like he was. Rick enjoyed playing the piano. Since his youth and throughout his life, he was a talented pianist. Rick enjoyed the news; he was always current on world events. Rick attended church regularly, held Buddhist values and learned Sanskrit. Rick enjoyed sports and followed several teams. He knew how the Yankees were doing, the Dallas Cowboys and the NY Knicks. He really knew who the Hawaiian players were, in both college and professional sports and how they were doing. Anyone who knew him, knew Rick beat to his own drum. Rick had a Big Heart and will be remembered most for his smile and warmth towards everyone he met. We all love you Rick and your kindness will be carried by all who have been blessed to have known you.
