Andrea Nagtalon Rivera 's Obituary
Andrea Nagtalon Rivera was born to Policarpo and Antonia (Agpalza) Nagtalon on November 30, 1932 in Vintar Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Pali Momi Medical Center in Aiea, Hawaii. On March 06, 1971 she migrated to Honolulu, Hawaii along with her five children at that time (Myrna, Cynthia, Marvin, Imelda, & Evelyn). She was employed with the Hale Koa Hotel as a Housekeeper from December 06, 1973 and then retired on January 14, 1998. After retirement, she enjoyed babysitting her grand children. Her most important events in her life were witnessing her children graduate from high school, the births of her grand/great grand children, the surprise retirement party given by her children in 1998. Her favorite hobbies and past times were sewing, gardening, watching Korean dramas and listening to KNDI – Filipino radio station. She was a member of SURVA International Association & New Testament Church.
Andrea is survived by her sons, Angel N. Jr (Norma) Rivera, Rogelio N. (Erene) Rivera, Marvin N. Rivera; daughters, Myrna R. LaFradez, Cynthia R (Roque Jr.) Caraang, Imelda N. (Rafael) Duran, Evelyn N. Rivera, Jennifer R. (Teddy) Montalvo; 19 grandchildren, Mark Anthony Rivera, Jennie Lynn Rivera, Christopher (Susan) Rivera, Rhonda R. (James) Among, Jaylord Parras, Suwerte Parras, Jorge Phillip Angel Rivera, Aaron Lee Ivan Rivera, Jasmin Blair Rivera, Ramel Duran, Dyana Joy (DJ) Duran, Jhanyn Joy Duran, Krysten Joy Caraang, Mikayla Joy Caraang, Willie Angel Amoroso, Evan Idemoto, Ashlin Idemoto, Javan Seangurai; 10 great grandchildren, Zayer Rivera, Ravyn Rivera, Kayley Rivera, Chrystian Rivera, Shyanne Rivera, Kaylee-Jadelynn Duran, Aiden Parras, Jonathan Among, Zane Parras, Zulay Parras; brother, Savino Juan Agpalza (Rebecca) Nagtalon; sisters, Excelencia Nagtalon Gamiao, Bernardina Nagtalon (Esteban) Agbayani. Andrea is preceded in death by her husband, Angel Bernardino Rivera Sr. (who passed away on December 07, 2012); parents, Policarpo and Antonia Nagtalon; sister, Generosa Nagtalon; grand-son, Cyrus Rivera; brother in-laws, Amor Gamiao and Aurelio Cayetano.
Services for the late Andrea Nagtalon Rivera are as follows:
Visitation: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; Service: 11:00 a.m.; Burial: 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park (Haven of Peace)
