Andrea L. Smith's Obituary
Andrea Lee Smith, 68 of Kailua, passed away on February 7, 2024 at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu. She was born in Howard County Texas on March 31, 1955. She moved to the Dallas area as a child. Andrea planted her roots there and Dallas was home for most of her life. Andrea graduated from Sunset High School ( Dallas, TX) in 1974 and then joined the workforce.
She married Rodney Smith on September 19th, 1992. In December of 1993 she became mother to Savannah. Andrea was known for her kind spirit. She was a peacemaker who loved everyone. In 2020 she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. She retired as a Mortgage Tax Processor in 2021 and moved to Kailua to be with her children. In her free time she loved reading books, going to the beach, shopping with her daughter, and having lunch dates. Andrea also would spend hours cuddling her grand-dog Winston. She was “Grandma” to all of the neighborhood kids. She was “Momma” to all of her children’s friends. Andrea attended Anchor Church in Kaneohe. Her love for Jesus showed through everything she did.
Andrea is survived by her Husband: Rodney W. Smith; Daughter: Savannah (John) Beagles; Soon to be Granddaughter: Hadley Beagles Siblings: Patricia Clark, Andrew Henager, Larry Henager, Sue Sartor, Connie Richmond, Barbara Christy; Many Nieces and Nephews; as well as Great Nieces and Nephews; Preceded in death by her Father: Price B. Henager; Mother: Louise Henager-Leslie; Step-Father: Haskell Q. Leslie; Brother: Richard Henager.
Celebration of Life will be held at Kualoa Beach on March 18th, 2024. The celebration starts at 10:00AM.
