Andrea L. Umipig's Obituary
Andrea Lazo Umipig, 92, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 4, 2025, at 7:11am. Born on September 25, 1932, in the Philippines, Andrea lived a life devoted to love, service, and education. She dedicated her years to nurturing others as both a teacher and a caregiver, roles she carried with unwaver compassion and grace.
Andrea was a devoted mother to the late Essie Felarca (who was married to Dimas Felarca) and to May Nerissa Cachero (married to Epifanio "Eddie" Cachero). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Daniel Felarca (married to Quennie Felarca), Jonathan Felarca (married to Rachael Felarca), and Charles Cachero. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jonah and Ella Felarca, the children of Jonathan and Rachael.
Final arrangements will take place at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe, Hawaii on June 8, 2025 from 4-8pm and then will continue the next day on June 9, 2025 from 9am-1pm at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial to follow at 1pm at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her as her spirit lives on forever.
