Mr. Angel Guira Ulep Jr.'s Obituary
Angel “Junior” Guira Ulep, Jr., 53, of Aiea, Hawaii passed away on March 7, 2017. Junior was born to Matilde (Guira) and Angel Damo Ulep in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on July 1, 1963. He was the youngest of seven children.
Junior attended Central Intermediate School and McKinley High School, where he obtained his high school diploma. After graduation, Junior began a career as a Baker’s helper with Taro Brand Co. and cook for Henry Loui’s Restaurant.
He resided at Queen Emma first, then Bannister Street, McNeill Street and then made Aiea his home and last place of residence.
Junior married Emerentia “Emy” Paguirigan on August 26, 1995 at the Foster Botanical Garden. They’ve been married for over 21 years.
Junior was also a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kalihi.
Special people who have influenced Junior’s life were Anson Miyashiro and the staff of Henry Loui’s Restaurant.
Most important events in Junior’s life were the births of his three sons, going to Disneyland with the family and going to Vegas.
His family remembers him as a very dedicated, hardworking, loving Husband, Dad, Brother, Uncle and Friend who loved working out at the gym, watching sports, fishing, playing darts, and listening to Reggae, Journey and Tagalog songs.
Jose is survived by his loving wife, Emerentia “Emy” P. Ulep; sons, Aaron Marc Ulep, Benjamin John Ulep and Christian Jacob Ulep; siblings, Violeta Ulep (Abraham) Ganal, Lazaro (Alicia) Ulep, Virginia U. fiesta, Lamberto “Silmo” (Emilda) Ulep, Alfredo “Fred” (Annie) Ulep and Alfonso “Sonny” (Myrna) Ulep.
Junior, you “will be missed and forever loved in our hearts you’ll always be. Until we meet again.”
Celebration of life and wake service for Junior will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation will be from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kalihi with visitation to be from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., Mass at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow 11:30 a.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
