Anne Tavares Gressak, 105, of Kailua, Hawaii, passed away on July 5, 2015. She was born in Paukaa, Hawaii to Antone Tavares Ferreira and Rose De Silva on March 18, 1910. She was retired from house cleaning.
She was married on July 8, 1942 to Anthony R. Gressak. She was a very religious Roman Catholic.
Anne’s important events in her life was her marriage to her husband Anthony, the birth of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her 90th and 102nd birthday celebrations. Her hobbies and past times were reading current events and she enjoyed listening to classical, Hawaiian, and Christmas music.
Anne is survived by son, Anthony R.(Catherine) Gressak Jr.; daughters, Maryann (William) Manyak, Kathryn Gressak; five grandchildren, Michael G. (Kimberly), Charles R. (Lori Jean) Manyak, Lisa M (Justin) Solomon, Anthony R. (Danielle Elena) Gressak III, Christina Michelle (James Paul) Birdseye, and seven great-grandchildren, Gage Ellis Manyak, Leah Anne Michaeline Manyak, Matthew Gene Manyak, Nalani Starr Manyak, Sophie Noel Gressak, Lili Anne Solomon, Anthony R. Gressak IV
Visitation: 9:30 – 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Kailua; rosary 10:00 a.m., eulogy 10:15 a.m., Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow 1:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific – Punchbowl.
