Antone Haiku Jr.'s Obituary
Antone Haiku Jr, aka, “Tony”, 85, of Laie, died in Honolulu on Monday, April 22, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Honolulu Hawaii, September 4, 1933, to the late Antone Haiku Sr and the late Hannah K Thornton. Antone was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and also had the pleasure of helping build the Laie Hawaii Temple while serving his Labor Mission. He also shared his talents as an Electrician at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Antone married his late wife Agnes Leialoha Aniu Haiku and is Survived by his Children: Mckay Haiku, Pono Haiku, Kehaulani Kubota (David), Jodie Haiku-Mauu (Joe). He has 15 grandchildren and 23 greatgrands that kept him busy, active and young. His Siblings are: Leila Haiku (deceased), Good Friday Haiku (deceased), William Thornton, Thelma Spencer Nicolas, Theodore “Big Boy” Nicolas, Trudy Hall Nicolas (deceased), Terry Nicolas, Diane Haiku, Cranston Haiku, Wayne Haiku and Ernest Haiku. Family has planned services for Antone Haiku Jr, on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Laie Hawaii North Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located at 55-630 Naniloa Loop, Laie Hawaii. Visitation: 10am. Services: 12:30pm. And burial: 3pm at the Valley of the Temple.
