Antonio Garrido Tenorio's Obituary
Antonio “Tony” Garrido Tenorio, 80, a proud Chamarro of Agana, Guam passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2016. He was born on June 5, 1936 to Vicente Santos Tenorio and Rosa Blas Garrido.
He married Muriel A. Aspera on July 12, 1959 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Tony served 33 years of civil service as a maintenance foreman at the Pearl Harbor Naval Station and served in the United States Army as a decorated soldier.
He enjoyed “mountain ball” as a go to pitcher while living in Honokai Hale and a competitive runner when the sport came to an end.
In addition to his wife, “Puddin” our family became well blended after Muriel and Tony separated. Both went on to have companions that loved them.
Family that will miss him include Michael, Laurie (Cheryl), Avelina “Noni”, Cindy Debutiaco (David), Randy and Antonio, Jr.
Dad cared for Bobbie Huntley as his own and our sister Cathy who passed away on July 14, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tony is survived by his sister, Magdalena (Jose) Calvo, of California, Manueal (Delores) Tenorio, of California, Paz (Barrett) Tuck of Kailua, Hawaii. Tony is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Islands Hospice.
An inurnment will be held for Tony on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m.
