Arlene Grace Emmsley's Obituary
Arlene Grace Emmsley, 78, of Kailua, Oahu, passed away December 18, 2016 at her residence. She was born September 14, 1938 in Ganges, British Columbia, and was a retired registered nurse at Leahi hospital with over 34 years of service. In 1994, Arlene became the first woman to serve as President of the Hawaii Government Employees Association.
She is survived by son, Patrick Emmsley, Sr.; daughter, Barbara (James Young) Chang; brother, Dallas Reynolds; grandchildren, Crystal L. Chee, Ricky Emmsley, Chance Emmsley; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 stepsons, 2 stepdaughters, many step-grandchildren.
Graveside service and inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Casual attire is requested.
