Arthur "Bud" Lush's Obituary
Arthur “Bud” Lush of Honolulu passed away October 17, 2024, at Queens Hospital at the age of 74. Born to Henry Lush and Barbara (Kern) in San Rafael, Ca. Bud Graduated from St. Vincent De Paul High School in 1968. He went on to Sonoma State and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1976 with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree. He remained a number one fan of the USC Trojans. He worked as a pharmacist for several years in Southern California before moving to Honolulu in 1984 where he raised his family and continued with his profession as a pharmacist until he retired in 2021 from Times Kam Shopping Center. He was very passionate and very active in the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. He served as Exalted Ruler twice, was a trustee and house committee member and was most recently appointed Association Vice President of the Hawaii Elks, all as a member of Honolulu Elks Lodge 616. He leaves behind his wife of 48 years Laurie, daughters Cristin Fong (Jamie), Tess Lush (Jon), his sister Colleen Dunaway (Larry), brother Mike Smith, his 3 beloved grandchildren, Liam, Elise and Lily Fong, along with many nieces and nephews. He was Preceded by his parents and stepfather George Allen. Although he is no longer with us, we will continue to keep his love, laughter, and fond memories alive. A Celebration of Life will be held for him Sunday March 16th at the Honolulu Elks Lodge 616 in Waikiki from 12-4 pm.
