Auliilani Lin Fa Kapele's Obituary
Auliilani Lin Fa Kapele
November 30, 1972 – September 8, 2025
Aulii, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 52. Born and raised in Kaneohe, Aulii was known for her very loud and vibrant energy, unyielding dedication to her family, and her passion for life. Aulii was the loving mother of three sons, Keali’i, Kela, and Kalahua, and the cherished grandmother to four grandchildren: ‘Ike, Skye, Luna, and Ezra. She was also a beloved sister to Kamana, Ka’iana, and Naeole, and was preceded in death by her parents, Coach John Kapele and Aunty Pua Kapele, and her sister, Mahinahou, with whom she is now reunited.
As a devoted Mail Carrier at USPS, Aulii served her community with pride, often
blasting her favorite music, calling everyone “Mary” and making sure everyone knew
she was there. Whether it was starting her day at 4 a.m. vacuuming and cleaning the
house, or throwing on an “Insanity workout by Shawn T,” or even many paddling
practices and regatas, Aulii’s energy was boundless. Most recently, she took up dance
classes, proving that she was always ready to learn, grow, and inspire those around her.
Aulii’s love for her family was immeasurable. She was their unwavering motivator and
supporter, always encouraging them to chase their dreams and live life to the fullest.
Her infectious spirit and determination will be deeply missed by us all.
Aulii’s adventurous soul took her to places far and wide. She loved exploring new cities,
from the bright lights of New York to the historic Alcatraz Island. She made unforgettable memories with her children at Universal Studios and Disney World, and cherished the times spent together on Disney cruises. Aulii was also planning future travels, with dreams of exploring Japan, Egypt, and many more exotic destinations around the world.
We’re extending an invite to all families and friends to celebrate Aulii’s life on October
13th from 9am-11am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints: Kaneohe
