Our family mourns the loss of our cherished husband, father, papa, uncle, and friend, Basilio Urmeneta Jr., who passed away on February 13th, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
Born on April 7th, 1946, in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Basilio's life was a tapestry woven with threads of hard work, loyalty, and unwavering support for those he loved. His resilience and organized nature were the strong pillars that upheld our family through every season.
He was the devoted husband of Rosalina “Sally” Urmeneta, whose partnership and love were the foundation of their enduring marriage. Basilio was the loving father of Allan Jojo Maines (Amelia)Urmeneta and Alona Irish Urmeneta (Dicken)Pacheco. He was also a doting Papa of 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his steadfast guidance and the warmth of his embrace.
Basilio's hardworking spirit and loyal heart touched everyone who knew him. He was not just a husband, father, papa, and uncle, but a beacon of support, always ready with a helping hand. His resilience in the face of life's challenges taught us the true meaning of strength.
We will always treasure the memories of his organized ways, steadfast guidance, and how he brought us together with his supportive nature. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in us, and the love he shared so generously.
