Benjamin Crisostomo's Obituary
Benjamin Crisostomo, 78, of Kahuku passed away peacefully at the home of his family in Waianae on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. He had a four-year battle with lung cancer. Born and raised in Waialua, Oahu, he attended Waialua High School. He served in the US Army and the US Air Force. He was a Korean War Veteran and earned a Bronze Medal. After serving in the military, he was an aviation warehouse supervisor in Kwajalein.Benjamin is predeceased by his mother, Maria Bunda Crisostomo and Roque Crisostomo.He is survived by four children: Christine Crisostomo Chow, Robert Joseph Crisostomo, Eleanor Crisostomo and Ben Crisostomo. His grandchildren are David, BJ and Shawn Crisostomo; Jason and Debbie Chow and Kristina Tanori. He has two great grandchildren.His siblings are Sally Tagalog, Pepsi Delos Santos, Rose Dongug, Mimi Baluyot and Rogie Crisostomo.Benny loved the ocean. Fishing, diving and camping were his passion. He had a great sense of humor. He loved music, especially jazz. He could play the piano and ukulele by ear.We say aloha to our beloved father, brother and friend. We love you and will miss you.A big mahalo to Kaiser Permanente, Hospice and son Ben Jr. and daughter-in-law for caring for him in their home.
