Bernard Allen Victor's Obituary
Bernard Allen Victor 88, passed away at his residence on May 28, 2015. He was born on April 22, 1927, he was the youngest of 4 children born to John Victor and Elizabeth Goeas in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Bernard attended Cathedral School and Kawananakoa Middle School. After graduation he began his career as a cable splicer and then moved up to become a cable supervisor with Hawaiian Telephone Company where he retired in 1987 after serving over 40 years. He was also a United States Army Veteran in the 1940’s.
Bernard was married to Mae Blossom Lilinoe Lee on December 16, 1950 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Pauoa, Oahu.
After retirement Bernard was involved with coaching Softball and Bobby Sox at Kailua High School. He resided in Kailua in 1960 til his passing. His close friends were Alan Goo, Bobby Mundon, Howard Okita, Jim Wymond, Hajime Fujita, Donald Ferreira and Eddie Mitsuda.
Bernard was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Kailua, the most important event in his life was the birth of his children, and his activities were coaching sports and enjoyed listening to Hawaiian Music.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Blossom Lilinoe Lee Victor; sons, Allen Raymond (Elizabeth Cheeley), Guy Andrew (Deborah), Lee Kalani (Rachel) Victor; brothers, Leslie (Doris), Stanley (Susan), Milton Victor; sisters, Pualani Enos and Kehau Mattos. Preceded in death by sons, Bernard John and Matthew Gordon Victor.
Visitation: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.
