Bernice Chiyo Baquering's Obituary
Bernice Chiyo Baquering, 98, of Honolulu, passed away November 10, 2017. She was born July 23, 1919 in Lawai, Kauai, and was a retired housekeeping supervisor for the Sheraton Moana-Surfrider Hotel. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Rosendo Baquering and daughter Nancy Jordan.
She is survived by sons, Brett Baquering and Bart (Nai) Baquering; daughters, Karen (William) Crozier, Phyllis Fleming, Camilla Crowder, Michelle (Randall) Martin and Odette (John) McCoy; sisters, Sumiko Shimabuku, Katherine Uejo and Janice Gampon; 21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Star of the Sea Catholic Church (4470 Aliikoa Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96821). Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
