Family and friends gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Bernida Lorenzo Castrence, born December 21st, 1966, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She left us on February 6th, 2026, at Kaiser Medical Center in Honolulu after facing leukemia with quiet strength.
Kindness guided every step of Bernida’s journey. She loved spending time with her children, browsing store aisles for fun finds, and lacing up her running shoes for brisk miles. A proud moment came when she completed the Aloha Run in Honolulu.
Bernida’s joy grew whenever she spoke of her son, Carlo Castrence, and her daughter, Cathleene Castrence. Her kindness also surrounded her sisters, Esperanza Lerie Emma and Teresita Bigol, whose bond with her remains strong.
As we remember Bernida, we hold on to the warmth she freely shared and the energy she brought to simple moments. Her life invites us to choose kindness, stay active, and cherish family time. Today and always, we celebrate her bright legacy.
