Beverly May Chow's Obituary
Beverly May Chow, 82, passed quietly in her sleep on January 9, 2026. Born in Fresno, California, Beverly came to Oahu as a Registered Nurse to work at the new Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Honolulu in the 1960s. After specializing in pediatrics, she transitioned to geriatrics and worked until retirement as a charge nurse at Arcadia and then Pohai Nani Care Center. The daughter of Ed and Betty Hutt and sister to Edward Hutt, Jr., Beverly was married to Melvyn YC Chow for 49 years until his death in 2015. Enthusiastic travelers and avid UH football supporters, Mel and Bev followed the team to away games and the New Orleans' Sugar Bowl. Beverly is survived by her daughter Cynthia, son Ron, daughter-in-law Maria, and her beloved Maltese Kalea. Private services will be held by the family at Kailua Beach.
