Bill and Joanne were such wonderful neighbors to my parents. Bill was lay reader at Waiekeola Church and always so friendly and eager to help when someone needed advice or had a concern. My Dad and Bill enjoyed many conversations and laughs. They came to have lunch with my Mom when she moved to Kahaka Nui and wanted her to know if she ever needed anything he was only a phone call away. An example was after my Dad passed away, he helped my Mom pick out a car for her to get around town. Thank you Bill you are always in my heart!

in honor of Bill.

I first met Bill when I volunteered for the Sony Open. I got assigned to his hole. He was the Captain. He was so kind and funny and he had so many stories of the past I found fascinating. Like knowing Jack Lord and stories about him. As a volunteer there's a lot of down time so it was such a pleasure to have known him and hear his stories. One time I had a flat tire and brought it to Shell. He saw me in the waiting room and called me outside. I told him I needed a new tire. He put me up very next ahead of everyone but they didn't know. He was that kind to his friends. I know he loved his wife and family and his cars! He will be missed at the Waialae. I hope there is a prayer or something said for his honor this year at the tournament.
