Binh Thuy Hoang, a devoted mother, grandmother, teacher, and beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the age of 95.
She was born on April 17, 1931, in Hai Phong, Vietnam, to her parents, Le Hoang and Chi Nguyen. From an early age, Binh Thuy demonstrated a love of learning and a deep commitment to education. She carried these values throughout her life, eventually establishing and teaching at her own school in Vietnam. Her passion for nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on countless students and families, and her dedication to education remained one of her proudest accomplishments.
Later in life, Binh Thuy made the journey to Hawaii, where she continued to build a life centered on family, resilience, and love. She embraced her new home while holding closely to her cultural roots and traditions, sharing them warmly with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving children: Jimmy Le, An Le, Jaime Keel, and Charles Le. Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She will be remembered as a strong, compassionate, and caring matriarch whose wisdom and kindness shaped generations.
Binh Thuy Hoang’s life was one of perseverance, dedication, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
