Brickwood Yoshida's Obituary
YOSHIDA, Brickwood RiyoichiBorn in Waiahole, Oahu, Hawaii, passed away on June 11, 2011 at the age of 80. A private memorial service for both Brickwood and his wife, Helen Hideko (Sasaki) Yoshida, was held on August 20, 2011 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery, Kaneohe. A military committal service was held on August 22, 2011. Korean War Veteran and awarded the Purple Heart Medal. He is interred together with his wife at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. He was pre-deceased by siblings Mary Sakata, Harold Hisao Yoshida and Harriet Yoshida. He is survived by daughters Camille (Alan) Araki and Colleen Yoshida; siblings Francis Yoshida, Ruby Laride; step-sister Emma Robinson; half-brother Clyde Yoshida and half-sister Charlotte Nagle.
