Candida Valdez Cardenas' Obituary
CANDIDA VALDEZ "MANANG CANDING" "NANA CANDING" CARDENAS, 94, of Mililani, passed away November 2, 2015 in Honolulu. Born in Burgos, Lupao, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Candida served for 20 years as an entomologist assistant for the Bishop Museum. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jose B. Cardenas.
Candida is survived by son and caregiver, Steven Valdez Cardenas; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and in-laws.
Wake services will be held at Diamond Head Mortuary on Monday, November 30, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00p.m. Wake service will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Services will again be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, with a visitation from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon, with burial follow at Valley of the Temples at 1:30 p.m. Flowers are welcome.
