Carl Henry Zuttermeister Jr.'s Obituary
Carl Henry Zuttermeister, Jr. was born on Dec 23, 1929 to Emily Kau’i Kukahiwa and birth father Patrick McCabe in He’eia, Oahu and was later adopted by Carl Henry Zuttermeister, Sr. He attended St. Ann’s School, graduated from St Louis High School, and studied at St. Mary’s College in California. He joined the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Qantus Airlines and the State of Hawaii where he served as a bailiff in the First Circuit Court. He married Delta Chang, (deceased) and had 8 children, Ululani (Billy) Black, Carl (Susan), Marney (Jere), Keith (Melanie Inovejas), George (Charlynn), Dale (Ronnell), Harold (Rhonda), Kurt Zuttermeister, 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He had 3 sisters, Justina K. Miller (deceased), Ku’uipo (Thomas) Dougher, Noenoelani Zuttermeister Lewis, brother-in-law Paul Lewis, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his long-time beloved companion, Florence Menor. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, August 18, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary from 10 am to 2 pm.
