Dear Mina & Lovina,I am so very sorry for the loss of your Mom. I was sure that she would outlive us all with all her feist & fire. I have fond memories of all of us going to Ala Moana food court every Thursday with my Grandma Mary, too. She will surely be missed. Love you Carlotta!##imported-begin##Marlene Roman##imported-end##
Oh how I remember meeting her at the Family reunion our family sent my 2 sisters and I to in 2002 -- I was so excited, taking and in see comes with the power of the whole room and did not meet a stranger (we were all family) -- hugs and kisses for all and after a while we talked about family, laughed and then she tied me to a chair with a dinner napkin (believe it or not I was talking too much) -- the day we left Kona, she was on the same small plane and we rode back next to each other and talked like we knew it other forever. My mother was Isabel K. Duarte (daughter of Antoine Duarte) so we talked about all our family -- hugged kissed laughed and said we hope to see each other again. Not a year went by that I didn't want to go to see her at the reunions. Now she is in heavan with alot of family (because our reunion itself had between 200-300 people and she has lived with them and passed some -- so now the family reunion in heavan is one more in that large family of love, caring, laughter and sharing). Wish I could have made it back one more year -- but thank you Brenda for sharing this family f/b page with many pictures over the years. Thank you Aunt Carlotta -- you are, were and shall always be a "legend" in our family (even to all of my children here in Cypress (right out of Houston), Texas. Love Audrey Wimberley and all my family.##imported-begin##Audrey Wimberley##imported-end##
