Carmen Araos Espiritu-Igawa's Obituary
Carmen Araos Espiritu-Igawa, a resident of Waipahu, Hawaii passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Palolo Chinese Home in Honolulu. Carmen was born to Marcelina (Araos) and Bernabe Espiritu in Baguio, Philippines on July 16, 1941 she was 75 years old. Carmen was a retired teacher who taught at the following schools; Waipahu Intermediate School, Waianae High School and St. Louis School.
Carmen is survived by her son, Colin (Sarah) Igawa; brothers, Teddy (Profita) Espiritu and Tony (Zenaida) Espiritu; sister, Jovita Castro and three grandchildren, Carter Igawa, Brynn Igawa, and Paige Igawa.
Wake service for Carmen will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m., service to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Additional visitation to be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Resurrection of the Lord; visitation from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m., Mass to begin at 9:00 a.m.
