Carmencita Montano Cabaccang Sherman's Obituary
Age 95, a homemaker, wife and mother, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2018. She was born on January 24, 1923, in Honolulu to Faustino Montano and Basilia Cantere of Cebu, Philippines. She was the eldest of 3 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her 6 children, daughters Rosalie (Fred) Popejoy, of Redmond, OR, Belinda (Eric) Campbell, of Wellsburg, WV, Beverly (Jeffrey) Vierra, of Pearl City, HI., and sons Paul Cerezo (deceased), Lawrence (Susie)Cabaccang and Gilbert Cabaccang, both from Seattle, WA., along with her beloved 25 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Married to Dionsio Cerezo, Pablo Cabaccang and Roger Sherman. During her early years, she was crowned Ms. Cebu at age 15 years old. She lived an active life as a entertainer with the Rondalla Hawaiianafor 13 years entertaining at many senior homes and at the Ala Moana Shopping Center Stage. She loved dancing and played the ukulele accompanied by her husband Pablo who played the mandolin. She was also an avid bowler for many years at various Bowling Alleys. Her hobbies were crocheting heavy blankets down to delicate doll dresses, using her jewelry to crown each doll she made. Among her other hobbies is gardening, which left that trait to all her children. She loved and looked forward to playing cards (paiute) every weekend with her regular gang just to win and to have fun. Growing up, she had many, many dogs that she loved, more recently her beloved dog Lucas Marcus who she left behind. She will be missed by everyone she came across and especially her children, grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. ALOHA MOM...WE LOVE YOU. We will miss your beautiful smiles. Till we all meet at heavens gate...Rest in Peace.
Vistiataion 10:00 a.m. Services 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, Kaneohe. Lunch from 12:00 - 1:30. Burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Green Haven Memorial Park, Kaneohe. Aloha wear attire and flowers welcome.
