Hello Donard & Family. I just learned that Aunty Carol passed away. My sincere condolences to your family. Your mom and my dad (Willie K. Kalei, Jr.) were first cousins. And during the period of 1969-1971, our families met often. When your mom lived on Frog Lane (in Kalihi), we'd visit, walk to Foodland, and have fun. Aunty Carol would sometimes take your cousins Roland, Clarence and myself riding around. The most memorable time I have was during your high school graduation celebration party, held in Palolo. All the cousins were there; you looked happy and everyone seemed to have a nice time. Your mom always smiled, I think that was what I remembered about her...even when she was going through trials of life; I would always see her smile (she also had spunkiness). For the record, "Katherina" is my legal first name. I was known as "Rina." Aloha.
