Catalina Ulep Collado's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Catalina Ulep Collado, born on January 9, 1931 in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was a retired Pineapple laborer and also a seamstress. Her parents were Eulalio Baptista Ulep and Isidora Nacion Ulep. She was the third of six children. She retired in 1990 from Dole Company. She was married to Anastacio T. Collado (deceased). Catalina was strong, courageous, generous, supportive and caring. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking her favorite food pansit and walking for exercise. She loved babysitting and spending time with her grandchildren, T.i, Tasha, Jc, Mandy, Taylor Ann and Joanne. She loved the bling bling lights part of Christmas and the clings and clangs of Las Vegas. Sometimes she was like a mini chatter box all over the globe reaching out to family and friends.
Survived by sons, Rogelio “Roger” and Jovencio “Joe” (Sonia) Collado; daughters, Luzviminda “Mindy” C. (Randall) Ho and Lilia Collado (Manuel Jr.) Mero; sisters: Filomena Ulep and Monica DelaCruz (of the Philippines); grandchildren, Thomas Jerome and Joseph Cambell Ho, Tasha Malia, Mandy Lee and Joanne Sally Mero, Taylor-Ann Collado; proceeded in death by son, Edwin Collado; brothers, Victoriano Nacion Ulep, Manuel Nacion Ulep; sister, Pauline Ulep Manongas. brothers-in-law: Paul (Cora) Collado and Boni (Femia) Collado; sisters-in-law: Herminia (Filomino) Lastimosa, Teresita Andres, Pacita Collado, all of Hawaii and Loreta Ulep of the Philippines.
Visitation: 10:30-11:30a.m., Monday January 26, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; service: 11:30a.m.; with burial to follow 2:00p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
