Celebrating the Life of Celestino Andaya Caberto
Celestino was born on July 7, 1928 in Sucoc, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He was the 2nd oldest of 10 children of the late Regorio and Paula Caberto. He immigrated to the United States in 1941. He attended school in the Philippines; McKinley High School. Though he only went up to the 10th grade, he became a very good bartender.
He was married to Cathy Caberto for 47 years. They had one son, Larry, born in 1972. They settled in the area of Kalihi-Palama. He went to church on Sundays. He retired from the Hawaiian Regent Hotel after 28 years as a bartender on December 31, 1993. He enjoyed his retirement by being involved with the grandchildren, taking care of his chickens, and wine tasting. Celestino was a good husband, father, and grandfather.
Services will be on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa Church. Visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m.; Mass at 11:00 a.m. and burial at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Luncheon will be from 1:30 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Mortuary Chapel Lanai.
