I’m so fortunate to be able to have had the opportunity to work with Char for 10 years until her retirement from Straub in 2018. Although I first met Char in 2008, I was fully aware of her reputation for excellence in patient care as a diabetes nurse educator. Respected by her professional peers, she served as an expert resource to many.
Char spoke with gentleness and authority while listening patiently. She was kind, gracious, fun- loving, and possessed a wonderful sense of humor; and she loved good chocolate.
Over the years Char and I developed a cherished friendship. I’m blessed and grateful for the special memories. Thank you Char for the gift of you, forever in our hearts.
