Christopher John Butcher's Obituary
Christopher John Butcher, 72, of Kailua, Hawaii passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Aloha Nursing and Rehab Centre in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He was a retired Merchant Marine and a retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 with United States Coast Guard. He was born on January 13, 1943 to John Randall Butcher and Kathleen Mary Bennie in Long Eaton, United Kingdom.
He is survived by wife, Gretchen Butcher; son, David (Traci) Butcher; daughters, Shelli (Brant) Guillory, and Kristin (Mark) Leonard and Susan (Mark) Carter; sister, Elizabeth (Bruce) Kent; seven grandchildren and eleven nieces and nephews. Christopher loved to travel, watch NASCAR and cycling, and teaching others how to fix anything. He was a hard worker and always willing to lend a helping hand. He lived a casual life.
Visitation: 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary Chapel, with a burial to follow: 2:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
