The sudden loss of Claire has shocked and saddened loved ones and close friends. Claire was raised in a tight military family, relocating coast to coast on the mainland during childhood to military air base communities while fostering many lifelong friendships. Claire's amazing spirit and independence drove her to seek adventure with each new chapter of life. After graduating from high school, Claire's strength led her to live deep in Mexico and absorb its unique culture for a number of years. After returning to the States, she pursued a successful career in telecommunications. When reaching retirement, Claire fulfilled a dream of leaving her beautiful home in the Northwest and moving to the shores of Oahu Island. Claire cherished every day of living in paradise and warmly welcomed her family members and friends from the mainland to share in this grand experience. Claire's caring and love for others will be thought of and dearly missed every day by those that knew and loved her in return.

Her love of life and adventure drove her to live deep in Mexico for a number of years. That remarkable independence allowed her to follow her dream to leave the mainland and her beautiful home, loved ones and family when one became available on the shores of Oahu Island. Claire cherished every day of living in paradise and warmly welcomed caring visitors from the mainland not so fortunate as to live on her island. Claire will be missed and thought of every day by the many that loved her.
Spent 3 months with my dear friend when she left WA. and moved to Oahu. Had so much fun finding furniture etc for her forever home
We shared so much fun and laughter and bonded us forever. I will miss her but she will be in my heart always Aloha and Hugs from my heart.
