Clinton was the best buddy a person could have. He was always up for an adventure; new places to eat or drink; he was friendly; funny; generous to a fault; kind of heart; extra thoughtful; super helpful; always well prepared; a hard worker; he loved to share everything he had from his vast knowledge of many subjects to As Seen On TV gadgets. He was just an all around good-natured, well-loved guy.
He was always willing to check out new places but also knew the best tried and true places. Little hole in the wall establishments that he knew would treat you well.
I know he enjoyed his life here on earth, maybe a little too much at times, but he had a BLAST while he was here! I guess that’s all we can aspire to in this short time on Earth.
I am certainly going to miss his company, his stories and his singing voice.
Rest in peace good buddy! I know heaven serves ice-cold Miller Lites, shrimp chips, Nutter Butter patties, and crispy bacon! Eat all you want – no bad cholesterol in Heaven!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with Kathy and the Dombrigues family. The day I learned of his passing, I was at home crying like a baby. I looked out the window and there was a beautiful rainbow looking back at me. At that moment, I knew that it was Clinton’s sign letting us know that he is watching out for all of us. Such a Clinton thing to do.....

Clinton Dombrigues and I go back some years!, Please pass on my Heart felt loss of his passing to His Wife Kathy and the Dombrigues family. It was back in 1981 when I had NFP and bought United Fire Service Co. from Guy and Debbie Menoir is when I met "Clinton" he was one of there employees. From that time moving forward he worked with me doing fire protection work . Clinton was always a hard worker, He always was cheerful and loving Life, He always made us Laugh! You all know what I'am talking about. Great Guy! We will all miss him. God Bless Clinton and all of his Family.

He taught me a lot about fire protection back when I first started at NFP in 2000 and he was a joy to be around with his jokes and demeanor (speaking of that demeanor, he kept me up until the wee hours one time in a bar on Maui singing karaoke , lot of fun). He used to help me w/the fire pump at USGS and was well liked and respected by the staff there (they told me to be sure and have him come back when the next inspection was due).
I last saw him two years ago at Fort Shafter during a conference and we talked about him coming to the Big Isle for a visit, it never happened and I wish it had. I will miss you my friend..

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this most difficult time. I will miss Clinton dearly as he would always make the time to stop by my desk just to say "Hi" and talk about his trips to Las Vegas! I am blessed to have known Clinton and will truly miss his warm and friendly smile!

Clinton was always friendly and his humorous demeanor demonstrated his happy-go-lucky spirit. His passing was a surprise. I was also surprized he went zip lining in Kauai a couple of years ago. He made it sound epic. Again... a testament to his lively spirit. He even got that info for me. When I had to take care of his IT or key needs he’d always make sure I had a ride all the way to upper campus and back or he’d do it himself. Sometimes he'd even treat me to lunch. Never had the chance to return the favor.
He’d always ask if I wanted anything from Vegas before they went up. Even when I didn’t ask for anything he’d drop off beef jerky or something. Eventually I began to know him as a neighbor talking about St. Louis Heights and eventually he’d know more about my neighborhood than I did. The homeless at the park and those peacocks in the backyard… hehehe. Well he’s glad to not see/hear that anymore.
My heart goes to Katherine and her mom. If they ever need computer help I’m close by. I’m sure the odds in “afterlife Vegas†are reversed and the jerky flows like water. Not to mention that all the new movies are free. . .
It’s just too weird not having him around.
Pax Vobiscum Clinton.

Clinton my brother, we are still in shock but your soul will always be with us. Clinton was the type of person who didn't care who or where you were from. He could make friends with anyone. He is the joy of fresh air everyone should breath from. He had a jokes that could last a life time, and remember all of them quite well. He could tell them a thousand times and I would still laugh. over the last 14 years we have become not just good friends, but became family; my brother. He will be sorely missed at our football tailgates, our travels to california, las vegas and even camping at Barbers point, and concerts. our last concert in April was doobie brothers and war a couple of months ago. Oh and lets not forget our miller lites together. When he found out I drink miller lite, we became the best of friends. Clinton, I will always have one for you and you will never be forgotten and missed forever. You are always welcome in our home and Kathy will always be a part of our family. Clinton, you are special and I am so glad to have met a person like you. You were the link to building other friendships with our tailgate gang. we will celebrate in memory of you with all those special times and laughs. Please watch over us a crack a few jokes once and a while....LOL aloha my brother!
