Connie Aphrodite Geisler
On June 13, 2026, Connie Aphrodite Geisler entered the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the age of 77.
Born on October 19, 1948, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Connie moved to Hawaii at a young age and spent most of her life on the islands she came to call home. She graduated from Punahou School with the Class of 1966 and carried the spirit of Aloha wherever she went, welcoming others with warmth, generosity, and a heart that made strangers feel like family.
Connie's life was one of remarkable redemption, unwavering faith, and extraordinary compassion. After overcoming tremendous challenges during her young adult years, Connie placed her faith in Jesus Christ and dedicated the rest of her life to serving others. Having experienced homelessness herself, she never forgot those who were struggling. She faithfully shared food, clothing, Our Daily Bread devotionals, encouragement, and the hope of Christ with those living on the streets, always seeing the person rather than their circumstances. She believed every person deserved to be seen, loved, and reminded that they were never beyond the reach of God's grace.
Connie faithfully served at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Honolulu, Hawaii, for more than 30 years. With her loving, joyful, and bubbly spirit, she served faithfully in many capacities, including the church nursery, reading the church announcements, Vacation Bible School, and the Agape Ministry, all while her health permitted. Through her faithful service, Connie left a lasting impression on her church family, who loved and cherished her and will forever remember her warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering faith.
Though she never had children of her own, Connie became the beloved godmother of Xavier, Zuriana, Yaleina, and Wynn, loving them as if they were her own. She faithfully prayed for them, celebrated every milestone, and loved them with all of her heart.
Connie also shared a special relationship with her brother, George. Though life found them separated by distance, they remained connected by a bond of love. He loved her, and she loved him, in their own funny way. Their relationship was a reminder that family bonds can endure despite challenges, miles, and the years.
Preceded in death: Sophia Areti Pragoudaki and George Geisler; her beloved brother, George Achilles Leander Psaros.
Survived by: Susan Grey, niece; Sophie Grey, niece; Jason Grey, nephew; two great-nephews; and two great-nieces.
She also leaves behind countless friends who became family through her love, kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith.
Her life stands as a testimony that no one is beyond God's redeeming grace, and that a heart transformed by Christ can change the lives of countless others.
She leaves behind a world made gentler by her compassion, brighter by her laughter, and richer because she loved so well.
We have the blessed assurance that when the Father called Connie home, she joyfully proclaimed, "Thank You, Jesus!" as she entered His eternal home.
